Our new baby ♥

Good day bloggerinas! I promise after this post it shall be a beauty related one! However, I couldn't resist sharing this with you! Firstly, THANK YOU for getting me to over 1000 views! I can't believe that many people have read my waffle, so thank you.
Right, onto the subject in hand.
Meet Peanut !!!

This is our gorgeous new baby bunny! Oooo I love her so much! Ed and I had the day together on Saturday, and Ed loves animals like I do, and suggested we went to the pet shop, right out of the blue. We had been desperate for a dog but we can't have one due to lifestyle and where we live etc, so I put a ban on going to the dogs home because we would never of come out without one. Pets at home it was, and we ventured there on Saturday 28th April. When we got there we went straight to the back where all the animals are, and had a look round them. We hadn't said to each other it was a bunny we wanted, or if we were going to get anything at all! All we could see apart from hamsters and mice was a huge albino rabbit and a little black one, and although they were cute they weren't really ones we both jumped at the chance to have. So I said to Ed why don't we ask and see if there are any others. So we did, and there was one other, this little mite.

We fell instantly in love with her, she is a lionhead rabbit and she is just adorably cute!!! She has got a pink cage with some daisy toys and a pink lead in case we take her for a little walk. I love her soooo much! Here is a piccy of me with Peanut. We called her peanut because she has little tan coloured dots on her fur like peanuts!

She is so calm and collected, and quite tame. She is a little nervous but we can see an improvement already. We were laughing so much at her because she was super chilled out watching the TV. We have never seen a rabbit like it!

How flippin' cute can you actually get? I get so excited about going home now, I open her cage and she just hops around sniffing everything and checking her new home out, and when she fancies a drink she just hops back in her cage! Such a good bunnykins!

So that was my cute post for the week, I'm sure plenty more pictures will arise!
Ciao for now, and ciao from Peanut! Xxx

Founders Day 2012 and My Grandad ♥

Oh Hai! So this post is another none beauty related one - sorry guys, but I just wanted to share with you my Grandad! It will have some kind of beauty relevance towards the end haha....
So, if you read my rainbow questions blog you may have noticed I put on there that my Grandad is a Chelsea pensioner! This means that he now resides at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London, as he served as a Sergeant Major in the Army. He is very well respected, and has an M.B.E from the Queen! He is also in the Chelsea Pensioner Singers group, called Men in Scarlett who bought their album out last year (little claim to fame there). He's been on the Royal Variety show, the Alan Titchmarsh show, Britains first photo album and many television programmes. It is kinda weird walking through ASDA and seeing your own Grandad on a CD on the shelf! It's great though and although I haven't known him for that long, I know him well enough now and I am extremely proud of him!

Here he is!

Here he is with the Men in Scarlett singers outside the Great Hall at the Royal hospital.

And here he is casually chilling with Katherine Jenkins! You know, as you do.

So, the point to this post? Well I have been given the amazing opportunity to go to Founders Day in June. This is a day of celebration for the birthday of Charles II, and a member of the Royal Family comes to review the pensioners and there's a parade and all sorts going on. I have never been before, but last year it was Prince Harry that went! I have got my fingers crossed that it will be Kate, because I would just love to see her and it is the jubilee year so you never know!
So, my dilemma is WHAT DO I WEAR?! The dress code is a bit like Ascot races. Gorgeous dresses, big hats and flouncy fascinators. I am thinking about going for a knee length peplum style dress, but I have no idea. The make up and hair is another one, because if I have a hat it will cover up the turquoise and my make up probably. Although it is extremely formal, I'm not covering up my turquoise because that's me!

So if anyone has any suggestions on what hair, make up or indeed clothes and shoes, don't hesitate to leave a comment and tell me what you think! I am very excited but getting the right dress for me can be pretty stressful and I have just over a month to sort it! Wish me luck!
Ciao for now Xx

A Beauty Secret? And Beauty UK 2012! ♥

Hi Guys, so as you know I have been back from Cyprus a few weeks now. I think I may have discovered something magical! It all started out when it was kinda cloudy in the usually oh-so-sunny land of Cyprus, thus meaning I never put on any sun cream... Little to my knowledge, the sun briefly shifting in and out burnt me to a total singe. Also throughout the last few days, all I wore was a factor 10 sun oil which actually cooked me. I was in so much pain and I was literally bright red like a lobster! I know, I am stupid but I actually didn't realise I was getting so burnt!

So, we had briefly been chatting to another nice family while we were over there, and they had certainly noticed my pain and redness! They explained to me that a member of their family spends a lot of time in America, and if he gets burnt there is a particular product he uses. They then introduced me to Hawaiian Tropics Aloe Vera after sun gel.

They kindly gave me a travel sized bottle of the stuff, and it was literally like liquid heaven! I had burnt all my face and neck, so it was the most soothing, cooling gel I could ever of asked for. It helped immensely and really toned down the peeling when I returned to the UK. When I did get home, I continued to use the gel but all over my face before I applied my make up. It has quite a sticky consistency and then it dries in about ten seconds. To touch when dry, the stickiness disappears, but somehow it clings to my foundation like a badboy! I have discovered it is an amazing primer! For me, I have been using it every day since I returned and I actually love it. I am dreading it running out because you can't actually get this product in the UK.

I have had a look round and there is one in Tesco I have seen but I can't remember the name, but it was a yellow bottle and retailed at about £2.99 which was also an aloe vera gel. Also, in Superdrug there was a Malibu one for around £4.00.

I might be sounding crazy right now, but I totally love this product as a primer. It is moisturising and soothing for the skin, and like a magnet for foundation! I might be mad, but give it a go - it might start a trend!

Last but certainly not least, is anyone going to beauty UK at the Birmingham NEC on Sunday 13th April? I am going to be there and I am soooo excited! I would love to know if anyone is going, and if you want to know more about it click here.

Mini Make Up Haul ♥

Bonjour mes amis! Over the weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with my very lovely friend Sarah, and we had a little mooch around Birmingham. I was going in with pretty much empty pockets, but of course I just can't come out with nothing; why break the habit of a lifetime?
I got the train into Birmingham for the first time in ages! I usually hate hate hate public transport, but this time around I felt that it was actually much easier than battling through the Sunday traffic, losing my car in Selfridges as I do every single time, and it gives me a good walk either side of the journey. Win win situation.
SO, onto the bedlam of the every burning hole in my pocket!
This is what my hand looked like after we decided to venture into Selfridges at the end of our trip. I told myself not to go in there and risk buying anything, but I can't actually do it. Anyone else suffer with the same issue?

Ok, so first I headed into Boots, and after recently trying out Models Own nail polish in Tropical Sun, I was very impressed! So of course I went back, and they are currently on offer at Boots 2 for £8.00. I had seen on a few beauty bloggers/vloggers channels that Indian Ocean is one that is majorly sought after, and I can see why! Oh my life it is absolutely stunning! I found it and there were only about 2 bottles left on the shelf, so I snapped me one right up!!! It is a beautiful iridescent pale blue with an added pink tone running through it. It dries super quick in seconds, and here's what it looks like with two coats, and what I currently have on!
(Used with Boots falsies)

I also got the Models Own nail polish in Aqua Violet, which is part of the Beetlejuice collection. I always go for colours like this because my favourite colour in the whole world is Turquoise, and my hair is this colour so it's great to match! Aqua violet is quite a deep teal colour, and is a duotone with purple running through it.  I haven't tried it out yet, but I can't wait to! Also as you can see there, is another duotone iridescent colour from Barry M called Silvery Purple. In the light you can see purples, greens, blues and silver flecks in the bottle. I have only done a little test coat on my natural nails and it is quite sheer, but I think after two coats it would be perfecto. It's another gorgeous colour from Barry M and for £2.99 it's another bargainous buy.
I also got the magnetic varnish in the black shade from Barry M, but I need to have a proper fiddle about with it first!

I finally got my first Illamasqua product! And my gosh I am excited about it! Sarah and I spent a good old while rummaging through their collection, with plenty of 'Ooo's' and 'Aaah's'. I actually couldn't come out of there empty handed, I think it is my new lust brand. I always love bright and wacky make up and they fit my every need! I think I am going to find myself going there every week getting a new product. This is a pure pigment, which is priced at £15.50 which I don't think is too bad as I think this will be a product that lasts a hell of a long time. This shade is called Static, and is a glittery iridescent (can you feel a theme here?) pinky purple. It is amazing and looks just like fairy dust! It can be used on the eyes, cheeks or mixed with an existing product. I can't wait to have a go with it!

Then we headed into Primark because we had heard they were doing nail art pens, but unfortunately ours had ran out! However they are doing a few beauty products so I picked up one of their lipsticks. They aren't named or numbered but it is the spotty one in the picture below, and is priced at £1.00. It is a light muted pink, and actually isn't the best product in the world and smells a bit like playdough. It's quite drying, but over lip balm it's actually a nice colour on the lips. For a pound I guess I can't grumble, but I doubt I would re-purchase.
Next was MUA at Superdrug which you know I love, and for a pound each these lipsticks are no comparison to the Primark one. They are just great! So moisturising and glossy with such a great range of shades! The colours don't pick up too well on my Iphone camera but it gives you an idea. The second from the left is 'Shade 12' and is a shimmery pink (not coral like it looks here), the next is 'Shade 5' and is a shimmery very light pink (gorgeous for everyday wear!) and the last is a deep pink with bluey undertones, and is 'Shade 3'. All gorgeous and I don't ever have a bad word to say about MUA really!

Swatched from top to bottom: Shade 3, Shade 12, Shade 5 and the Primark muted pink.

So here we are in Birmingham Bullring after we got attacked by Illamasqua! It was a lovely day and nice to see Sarah and I look forward to catching up again soon!

Have you bought anything new recently? Anything I should try? I would love to know!

Vivo and MUA ♥

Hola Chiquitas! I have recently purchased a couple of items from the much loved brands Vivo and MUA, and thought I would share my thoughts with you! First up is Vivo, I first heard about this brand just over a month or so ago, and it is readily available in larger TESCO stores. It is extremely reasonably priced, and I now have quite a few items. To find my last blog post on Vivo click here

So now I have decided to jump on the BB Cream bandwagon, and give it a go. I usually wear a medium coverage foundation, but since I have been on holiday I have had a major freckle outburst, and I am peeling like mad so I haven't worn much foundation. I have been concealing the blemishes and then just going ahead with bronzer etc. So on the days now where I feel I need a little more, but I don't want to do my full on foundation routine, BB cream I feel is the way to go. I got it in the shade light, because although I have a freckly almost-tan, it fades pretty darn quick so I will be a few shades lighter.
It has quite a thick consistency, and I used the real techniques buffing brush to buff it into my skin. I really could see the difference on the side of my face that I had covered. My skin does get red and blotchy when I have no make up on and the Beauty Balm really did seem to even it out, with still having all my freckles showing through. It was quick and easy to apply, and can also be applied with fingers like a cream, so it's handy to take around with you too. It lasted about 4 hours before it looked like I needed to re-apply, but I do rest my head on my hands for most of the day and touch my face a lot, so that is mostly my own doing. I would definitely recommend this to BB cream beginners, because for £4.00 it's a steal, and I was impressed!

Secondly is the Shimmer and Shine Lip Gloss in frosted pink. OoO I love this product! I am looking forward to going back to Tesco to get all of them! It is a bargainous £1.50, and I just love it. The colour is a really lovely light pink with a shimmer to it, and reflects light perfectly, leaving your lips all shimmery and shiny. It lasted on my lips for a good couple of hours before re-applying and it isn't too sticky. It has the most AMAZING smell to it like watermelons nom nom nom! It also has a long doe-foot like applicator, so there's no missin' any part of that pout. It is now a staple in my make up bag for work, as it is shimmery, sheer and not too much!

Shimmer and shine lip gloss in Frosted Pink on my lips. Shine-tastic!

The Beauty Balm in shade light. The first swatch is as it comes out of the bottle, and the second is where I have blended it in, but not fully, so you can see it starts to merge into your skin.

Next is MUA. I am sure everybody will of heard of this brand but if you have been living under a rock and somehow haven't, here is the low down! It is a budget make up brand that lives in Superdrug, where all the basic products begin at £1.00. It is fantastic actually, and the majority of products I would re purchase over and over, because they are actually great quality. I decided to try their blushers most recently, so I got them in shade 1 - a baby pink with a light shimmer, and shade 4 - a peachy matte shade. I have tried out both on separate occasions and I don't have a bad word to say. This is a very positive review post day guys!
For one British pound, you get yourself a nice 2.4g of product, in nifty little packaging for your make up bag.

They are both super pigmented, gorgeous colours which are buildable, so from a light dusting to a heavy colour block, it's up to you how you wear it. Here they both are swatched on my hand. I can't wait to go and get the rest of the collection! My opinions are 100% my own, and I can't give enough love for all the products mentioned in this post, especially because of the price!

I hope this was helpful for those of you that haven't had the pleasure of trying VIVO or MUA yet. If you have a spare couple of quid knocking around, I would go and treat yourself to a few products from these brands because you can really stack up your collection with great quality products! Enjoy, beauty heads!

Cypriot make up! ♥

Hellooo! As you my know, I went to Cyprus last week, and whilst I was there I wanted to see if there were any cosmetics over there that you can't get in the UK. It's always nice to get something different, however if it is a really great product, it will have to be used sparingly or give me an excuse to go back!
We found a large supermarket type place in Ayia Napa, which is where I found the cosmetics that I am going to talk about here. They were all unbelievably reasonably priced, and actually great quality products. I can't quite believe the bargains.

To begin, this little beauty was a set of 6 Nail Polishes, for a whole three euros. About £2.30. I know, absolute bargain right? As you would think, my initial thoughts were; 'well they are gonna be a 3 coat disaster', but for the money I thought I would give them a go anyway! The brand name is 'Caerphilly Professional Nail Lacquer', and you also get a whopping 20ml of Polish in these beauties, whereas Barry M for example are half that. I love the packaging, big chunky bottles with a metallic pink lid, and there are some great colours. Here I have a flouro pink, shimmer red, shimmer navy/black, clear topcoat, glitter pink and a glossy white. They were three euros collectively by the way, not each.

Here is an example of the glittery pink nail varnish, and this is a one coat wonder! Hoorahh! It also dries super quick! I really had an absolute bargain with these and wish I had bought more to pass on, or to do as a giveaway. Next time I go I am sure to do so! I did try to find the products online or on Ebay but I can't seem to find them, so if anyone has come across these before, leave a comment! I love getting your comments and will always get back to you.

This was another nail polish I got in a pharmacy in Protaras. This was more expensive than all those nail varnishes above put together! However, I did find this first and it was a brand I hadn't heard of so I thought I would give it a go. For five euros (around £4.15), this is a glitter and polkadot topcoat. It is by S.H.C and is really pretty. I am yet to try it as a polkadot topcoat, to try and get all the black dots out of it is going to be a fun task, but as a glitter topcoat I wouldn't say it is anything special, but nice enough!

These are a set of lippies I found in the same supermarket as the above nail polish. Found in Cyprus but made in china, as per. So, this was a pack of 12 lipsticks, all reds, pinks and brown shades and this also cost 3 euros for all 12! Again, I thought they are going to have little, if no pigmentation and will need reapplying constantly. I was wrong yet again! The swatch (which is pink not orange) should tell you all you need to know. This brand is called 'Fate of Flower' and is enriched with vitamin E. Nice!

And now for the ultimate bargain. I am loving different eyeshadow palettes at the minute, and always am looking to add to my ever-growing collection. Also in the Ayia Napa supermarkets, I found these eyeshadow palettes. There were three palettes to choose from, so I got all three. I wish I had got more now! These were a shocking 2.60 euros! They are some of the most pigmented shimmer eyeshadows I have seen, and you get quite a lot of product in each section! The name is 'Oumeidie', and I actually felt like I should have paid more as it was such a steal. The colours are beautiful and you can get other sets from this company on Ebay, I had a look for you guys! They are all around the £4.00 mark on there. I am going to do a few make up looks with these soon, just to prove the unbelievable pigmentation for the dosh! This was the bold and brights palette.

Here is the more neutral, natural and highlight palette.

And here is a pastel and khaki palette. They also come with Mahoosive mirrors, and a little applicator.

This was one light stroke in the palette with my finger, and swatched on my hand and that is how bold they are. I would definitely recommend this brand and would certainly re-purchase. So if any of you are heading out to Cyprus, I wouldn't bother looking in the Pharmacies, have a hunt around the supermarkets! There are bargains to be had!

Ciao for now! XxX

You know those days when you jump out of a plane?

Ey Up Lovers! Well, yesterday I did on of the best things in my life EVER! I have literally always wanted to do it, so much so that my Mom can remember me going on about it when I was about 10! Now 21, my chance to Skydive came along, and was something I was never going to miss. If you are thinking about doing it yourself, I am going to put down my experience, if not just read on anyway, you might want to after!
With my old work, we decided to group together and do a dive for charity, and mine was the British Heart Foundation as unfortunately one of my cousins passed away in his 20's due to a heart attack, so this was the best charity to chose for myself. The other divers on my team were doing it for other great causes such as Breast Friends, and Macmillan. Together, we have managed to raise around £2,500 for the charities, so a great success!

This was in the morning, on the way to the Skydive centre. I didn't sleep hardly at all the night before (hence why I have big ass suitcases under my eyes), and I was up at 5am having a bit of panic time. We stayed down in Cirencester the night before, so we were only 15 minutes away from the grounds. Once we pulled in to the site, I saw the plane I would be jumping from, and I must admit I began to fill up with tiddly tears!

Once we were through the gates, I saw my friends from Moor Hall, Kev and Seb. This was when my fear turned into sheer excitement, and I was totally ready for the experience. We went in to pay our final bits of dosh, and then my Mom pulled into the site with my little brother and sister! I also went with Ed, his sister and her boyfriend. It was really great to have them all there to encourage me! So then we went into the briefing, where we had a step by step talk about exactly what happens, and all the safety instructions.

Me, Seb and Ryan. Fellow jumpers!

Here we all are waiting for the briefing.

After the briefing I was good to go, I had done a practise land showing I could lift my legs right up so I don't snap them, and practised an 'arch', which is the position you leave the plane in. I could not literally wait to board the plane. I was in the third lift, so the plane had already been up and down twice before I got on it! The first 3 people from the left of the above photo went first, then Seb in the middle, then Me and Kev at the end. So we got a great view of them landing, and their experience before our turn.
Here I am in the jumpsuit! Holding a pretty sexy helmet.

See what I mean? Wouldn't say no would you, really?

Me and my Edbud, who thinks I am mad but loves me all the same I hope!!

Me, Sexy helmet, Edbud and Mom.

All geared up, and ready to fly! Man, that harness was tight! Better to be tight than fall out of it though!!

Then our names were called. I grabbed my instructor and dragged him to the minibus ready to go go go!! I also have had professional photos and a video done, so as soon as I get those I will do a post with them on too. I got in the minibus with Kev, and about 14 other people who were jumping singly just for kicks. They were a really nice bunch who made me feel even more excited, as they had done it so many times before!
When we reached the plane my legs were shaking a bit so I staggered up the steps onto it. You cannot stand up straight in it it's so small! There were two benches which you straddle on to, getting nice and cosy with the people in front and behind you!
To my surprise, the plane took off and we were sat backwards, which is really surreal as obviously on a normal plane you face the way you are going. We got up to 12,500 feet, and the others only did 10,000, because all the single divers wanted to go higher so that meant a longer freefall, which was great.

Once we reached 8,000, I was instructed to get on my tandem instructors lap - with great difficulty - who I felt extremely sorry for! But this was so they could really tighten the straps of our harness together, so there was no gap between us. Once we reached altitude, a light turned red in the plane, meaning the single jumpers could open the door. Then it turned green. Out they piled, jolting the plane with the weight that had been lifted. Within literally a couple of seconds, we shuffled straight forward along the bench, straight onto the floor of the door, onto the edge, and OUT!
I was freefalling, in the sky at 12,000 feet, and did a 360 degree tumble out of the plane. Wow. What a feeling. Your breathing is compressed due to the obvious pressure, and the harness digs in a little, but that is something you can put up with when you are in this surreal world with the ground coming towards you. It felt like a dream. I didn't even think about worrying whether the parachute was coming out or not, I was too busy taking in what I was doing, and also thinking about how dry my mouth was as I opened it the whole time! The video will be hilarious.

That's me up there! I had been thumbing up the camera man, which I hope I had my head up for, when the parachute was deployed. The feeling was a very strong pull up of the harness and a bit of a jolt, but once it fully opened it went all quiet and we were drifting around. My ears totally blew out I could hardly hear a thing! He gave me the parachute toggles to have a go at steering and it felt awesome. He swiftly took them back off me, and we did what he called 'Twiddlys' where he spins the parachute so you spin in a big circle, which was great! I always like to do stuff to the full, if I'm doing it anyway, might as well go all the way.

We then did a practise landing in the air, where he told my to bring my legs right up. I did it totally fine so we were set to land. It was a mad feeling with the ground  approaching you, but not once did I feel unsafe or at harm. It was pure exhilaration. The landing was totally smooth, my legs went high enough so that I landed on my feet, which I was so glad about as I have a coccyx injury. Then some helpers unhooked us and I was just in a total daze, continuously shouting "Wow" I think! I went a bit dizzy but after a few seconds I was fine. Then my family came to greet me and I was on cloud 9! Literally!
It was one of the best things I have ever done, and the top of my bucket list completed. I am already considering planning my next one, and would absolutely love to do it alone one day I think!

Here is the final picture of us all with our certificates! It was a great day, spent with great people and couldn't of asked for better. Once we finished, and went to get something to eat, I started to spiral downwards a little. I think after all that adrenaline I was absolutely exhausted and had a banging headache, probably because of the tension the previous night! It was a big sigh of relief that my feet were on the ground, although in the end I was totally relaxed about it, even in the plane! I would urge anyone to do it, it is an amazing feeling, and really isn't as bad or scary as you may think. They are fully trained with clever, expensive, super-safe kit and they have done it thousands of times. If you get the opportunity, DO IT. It's mind over matter and I can guarantee you will love every second.
I am now due to get a little silhouette of a plane tattooed on my ankle, in commemoration of my first (hopefully not last) Sky Dive, and my love for travel.
Thanks to everyone at the Silver Stars centre for their help and encouragement, and especially George and Matt who were my Tandem and Cameraman instructors.
A day I will never forget.

Ciao for now XxX
